Mirror Mirror

Snow White was never one of my favorite Disney movies.  Snow White's chirpy voice was a major factor in my dislike.  Plus, the evil queen scared me.  However, Tarsem Singh’s Mirror Mirror is a sweet, family film overflowing with gorgeous costumes designed by Eiko Ishioka.  The movie stars Julia Roberts, Lilly Collins, and Armie Hammer and follows Snow White's struggles to free her kingdom from the queen's quest for beauty and riches.  The queen's point of view is an important part of the story, and any scene with Julia Roberts is a good one.

I love a good costume movie and Mirror Mirror did not disappoint.  Whimsical, animal themed costumes swept across the screen, and Snow's blue dress is quite near perfection.

A dress to sing and dance in
A swan gown to woo them all

  1. I can't wait to see this! I love me some whimsical and I loooove these costumes.

So if you could go to a costume ball in one, which would you pick?

Personally, I liked Snow because she had dark hair (like me), lots of friends, and lived in a cute cottage. But my fav was Sleeping Beauty.
